The most important documents would be:

- Confirmation for the reception venue for registration/wedding. (make sure you have included the corkage cost)
- Receipts for catering orders (including cake).
- Passports/visa/travel insurance documents and flight tickets for the honeymoon.
- Confirm the wedding cars/limousines are aware of the collection address and time.
- Confirmation of the photographer (always check what is included in the package)
- Make sure the band is booked and have confirmation in writing.
Make sure your wedding outfit is kept in a safe place-away from any beverages (or jealous cousins who may have found a new hobby of cutting!!!!!)
Have a make up and hair trial before the wedding, it make cost you a bit extra, but on the big day you might be able to avoid wasting time on getting the look that is perfectly suited to you! If your a male why not pamper yourself and get a massage to relieve all the tension and get you prepared for your big day.
Inform all family and friends in good time of the confirmed date. Don't take the hassle of receiving the RSVP's your self, if you feel that you can trust a family member to make seating arrangements ask them to make a plan and then discuss with you later.
If you are organising an Asian wedding, always tell the guest to arrive 30 minutes early. The chances are they'll still arrive an hour late. At least they won't be two hours late.
Deciding on floral arrangements can be quite difficult as there are so many options to decide from, it is always a good idea to get some trusted guidance from someone that is already married as they will be able to guide you through anything that you may not have thought of.
